Salary range: NY Grade F (points 8-13)
This role is to support the leadership of the College in creating the right climate for all students to maximise their achievements across the spectrum of College life, especially through the work of academic tutors. The post will involve undertaking some supervision of students and one-to-one/group working with students, as required. The post holder will need to work flexibly across the key stages to support teaching and learning at the College. The role involves contacting parents and external parties, by telephone, letters and face-to-face meetings where appropriate. The successful post holder will work closely and effectively with teachers and families to ensure good attendance, punctuality and to raise attainment. Applicants should be educated to a minimum of Level 3 and have good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills. Excellent interpersonal skills are also required for this role.

Learning Mentor - Attendance - Wednesday 15th January 2020
Part-time, Fixed Term post
Required from January to June 2020
Salary range: NY Grade C
Attendance Learning Mentor required to support the Attendance Officer and students from January to June 2020
The role involves supporting the Attendance Officer, contacting parents of poor attenders, by telephone, letters and face-to-face meetings where appropriate, and chasing up absences and punctuality. The successful postholder will investigate and monitor the reasons for poor attendance, identifying any emerging patterns for which a whole-school approach can be taken. An important part of the role will be to work closely and effectively with teachers and families to ensure good attendance.
Mentors need to be educated to Level 3 and have good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills. Excellent interpersonal skills are also required.
