WSF Open Evening
Thank you to all of you who attended the Whitby Sixth Form Open Evening, it was lovely to see so many enthusiastic Year 11 students exploring their future options.
If you were unable to attend then please contact post@sixthformwhitby.org and we can arrange for you to visit Whitby Sixth Form and talk to a member of our team.
A number of subjects across the two schools will be offering subject specific sessions over the next term to provide an insight into the development of the subject from GCSE/Key Stage 4 to Post 16.
Whitby Sixth Form is now accepting applications for September 2023, you can apply to WSF by visiting our website and completing the online application form http://www.sixthformwhitby.org/news/application-form/
Once we have received your application we will confirm your place at WSF and you will be sent a welcome pack which will include an invite to our applicants day and information on enrolment.
If you need any bespoke careers advice please contact our Federation careers advisor, g.mackle@wsp.org.uk. Ms Mackle will be more than happy to offer guidance to any student from across the two schools and to assist them with their choices for 2023.
Y11 GCSE exams start in March with many practical assessments taking place and the exam season ends on 28 June 2023. All students will be given a bespoke timetable by their school and there will be plenty of tips and guidance on revision techniques and support leading up to the exam season.

WSF Applicants morning will be held on 28 June, 9.30-11.30am at the Sixth Form, this morning provides an opportunity to meet sixth form staff and your fellow students, learn more about the sixth form life and your course options.
We will also be holding a Careers Fair from 12.30-5.00pm which Year 11 students are welcome to come to at any point. The careers fair have stalls from employers, further education providers and universities so students can see the wide range of opportunities available to them. We would also like to invite all parents to the careers fair from 3.30pm, this is an opportunity for students, parents and carers to find out more about future progression for their young people as well as agencies and charities that support people in our local area.
GCSE results day is Thursday 24 August results can be collected at Eskdale and Caedmon, 9.00-11.00am. When students collect their results they will be asked to confirm their place at WSF and complete the enrolment process, this will allow students to confirm their subject choices. Enrolment will take place on Thursday 24 August, 9.00am-3.00pm and Tuesday 5 September, 11.00am-2.00pm on the Whitby Sixth Form site.
The first day of the new academic year and the start of the autumn term is Thursday 7 September 2023.
