Oxford University Virtual Visit for Year 12 PEP students

We are linked with Brasenose College, Oxford but on Friday 30 April, we were lucky to make new links and have a ‘virtual visit’ from two staff, both admissions tutors, at Worcester College, Oxford University. Twelve of our highest aspiring Y12 students attended for the afternoon as part of their UCAS day. We currently have students preparing to apply to study subjects that include law, medicine, finance, history and theology.

Some Oxbridge myths were ‘debunked’ and the students were given lots of helpful information on what admissions tutors at Russell group universities are looking for, entrance exams and how to choose a course. The second part of the session focused on ‘super curricular’, led by Professor of Classics, Chella Ward.

This marks the start of this year’s Y12 PEP support programme, tailored to help support this particular group of students. For more information, please contact Mrs Beattie.
